Lethargy... inability and unwillingness to do anything... sleepiness... well, not anything.. this Lethargy (a guy and a girl from Spain) made some music, an electro album... their second one... putting some styles together... blending industrial elements n dancy beats (on tracks like “nocturnal frequencies” and "the golden light") with a more trippy-hoppy sound ("by yourself”,”nothing to hide”)... There are club songs in here – take “future times” or “emotion” (i could dance to this!) or “alquimia” f.ex. - which tend to grind to a halt and then build up the sequences again... the rest of the tracks have a more ambient, kind of chill-out feel (“desert”,”rain drops”...)

“the golden light”, the first track, is a powerful one... a female voice, broken, spitting her words over a rather harsh but quite melodic backround.. i like that... even nicer is that the singing follows different paths on the way... ranging from bored-like and incurious to much deeper and sensual vocals... playing... i like that too... reminded me of Sina and Shinkhee or maybe Lloyd in her most sexy self... my kind of girlz! the band made an honest attempt to present some good lyrics... and claim inspiration from novelists such as Orwell (on “future times”) and Coupland as they've done before with e.a.Poe..it comes out pretty good but leaves the impression of trying too hard..sometimes having no real flow.. the Bauhaus cover is just ok..can't be more than that, right?? maybe says something about taste and influences..there is supposed to be a spanish cover of “sleeper in metropolis” on the previous album...

that's about it..”in-macula” is a pretty nice album..definetely not an immaculate one.
