έχουμε είπατε; 2004 ή κάνω λάθος;
Πώς επιβιώνει ένας ‘ρομαντικός’ είπατε,
επίσης; Ε, φαντάζομαι ή αποφασίζει να taaake the mountains (παίρνω τα όρη και τα
βουνά, ελληνιστί) ή καταλήγει στη φαεινή ιδέα να φέρει τα ‘mountains’ εδώ. Ή
ακόμα καλύτερα, την plaz!
okay.. και πώς γίνεται αυτό παρακαλώ;
Οι
Astyplaz προτείνουν να ξεκινήσουμε δείχνοντας το σεβασμό που του πρέπει σε έναν
πολύ παραμελημένο ‘σύντροφο’, τις παντόφλες μας!
Οι πρώτες νότες του "Future Science" επιβεβαιώνουν ότι βρισκόμαστε στο
σωτήριον έτος 2004, most of us lost in our cities, towers, dunes, or
whatever.
‘New world, new scene
Rules the machine’
Yeah
sure…so? Use the f**king machine, make fun of it and…dance!
To “Spreading
Life” κινείται στους ίδιους.. χορευτικούς ρυθμούς, αλλά νομίζω ότι τα σχόλια
περιττεύουν. Αψεγάδιαστο δείγμα electropop, που έχει ήδη κάνει τη μικρή του
‘καριέρα’, spreading its liveliness to certain dancefloors some of us are
acquainted with...
η ΄μηχανή’ χαμηλώνει τους τόνους, γλυκαίνει, και φλερτάρει με την trip-hop,
κάνοντας συμπονετικά ‘πατ-πατ’ στην πλάτη του ψιλοταλαιπωρημένου τυπάκου που
λέγαμε παραπάνω.
H πιο ‘σκοτεινή’ και ‘μαγική’ στιγμή του album έρχεται από
το ανατολίτικων ρυθμών “Knell of the dunes”.

These eastern dunes carry you a
little deeper.. inwards or.. outwards. It’s a spiral. Don’t hang in there too
much though..
Αν και η μοναδική και ανεξίτηλη στη μνήμη φωνή της Διόννης
κάλλιστα θα μπορούσε να υποστηρίξει ένα blues/funk σχήμα, it is synthpop we’re
talking about! Eκεί που οι Yazoo συναντούν τους Melotron, ή οι (early)Eurythmics
τους Psyche. Απ’ το ‘παιχνιδιάρικο’ “Toybox” μέχρι το “What it feels
like” και το γαλλόφωνο “Lionne” έχουμε να κάνουμε με μελωδική,
ρυθμική και ανάλαφρη synthpop. Όχι όμως αφελή, cuz… baby, there is no
justice and if you see me dancing and laughing don’t think I’m not aware of
that..
To album κλείνει με τo πολύ όμορφο orchestral mix toy “Future
Science”, σαν απόηχο και… reminder:
‘Science provides a design, but
are there many truths?..’
Χμχμ.. μάλλον υπάρχουν περισσότερες
‘αλήθειες’ απ’ όσες χρειαζόμαστε lately. And I guess we might have to learn how
to choose the ones we can make best use of. Till then.. we can always rely on
our slippers. They’re loyal, trustworthy, --silent!-- and they’ll always be
there!
