Το Viva la Vida φέρεται εμπνευσμένο από ένα πίνακα της Frida Kahlo ενώ και εξώφυλλο του album αποτελεί ένας άλλος πίνακας, μια κλασσική απεικόνιση της γαλλικής επανάστασης του Delacroix. To NME θα δώσει και αυτό με τη σειρά του το single "Violent Hill" ενώ οι Coldplay θα προωθήσουν την κυκλοφορία με μια σειρά δωρεάν live εμφανίσεων. Θεωρητικά, ο ήχος και οι συνθέσεις αναμένονται λίγο πιο πειραματικές. Κυκλοφορεί στις 13 Ιουνίου.

Από την άλλη μεριά του Ατλαντικού οι Dandy Warhols βρίσκονται σε μια πιο ψυχεδελική lost in space κατάσταση και υπάρχει ενα μεγάλο κείμενο στο myspace τους ενδεικτικό αυτής. Στο "Love Song" συμμετέχουν ο Mark Knopfler των Dire Straits και ο κιθαρίστας του Tom Petty, Mike Cambell. Από τις 19 Μαίου στο επισημο site τους μέσω ενός subscription service που θα ξεκινήσει η μπάντα.
