Σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες πληροφορίες η αίσθηση του δίσκου θα είναι περισσότερο dance παρά rock, με αρκετές επιρροές από αφρικάνικους ρυθμούς στα τύμπανα. Oι Franz ferdinand χρησιμοποίησαν σε κάποια tracks και τα περίφημα ρωσικά Polyvox synthesizers, ενώ μια πρώτη γεύση πήραμε με το Lucid Dreams που κυκλοφόρησε τον Αύγουστο ψηφιακά και χρηισμοποιήθηκε για το Video game Madden NFL 09. Πλήρες tracklist δεν υπάρχει ακόμα, επιβεβαιωμένα είναι ως τώρα τα παρακάτω:

Η επιστροφή των Killers είναι πιο άμεση, μια και το τρίτο studio album τους κυκλοφορεί στις 25 Νοεμβρίου, ενώ ήδη έχουμε ακούσει το πρώτο single (Human). Tίτλος του δίσκου είναι "Day and Age" και παραγωγός ο Γάλλος Stuart Price, περισσότερο γνωστός από τη δουλειά του με τη Madonna στο confessions on a dance floor και λιγότερο από το βραχύβιο συγκρότημά του Zoot Woman.
