Σύμφωνα με το επίσημο site τους, στο Object 47 έχουμε την επιστροφή στην συνθετική δημιουργία από το δίδυμο Colin Newman/ Graham Lewis, οι οποίοι είναι υπεύθυνοι για τις καλύτερες στιγμές των Wire όλα αυτά τα χρόνια. Oι Wire ξεκίνησαν την καριέρα τους το 1977 με τον ιστορικό punk δίσκο "Pink Flag", αλλά εμείς εδώ αγαπάμε περισσότερο απ' όλα το αριστουργηματικό "154" που κυκλοφόρησε το 1979 και είναι από τα πιο επιδραστικά album της post-punk σκηνής της δεκαετίας του 80. Από το "154" είναι και το "the 15th" (που αρκετοί θα το θυμάστε από την διασκευή των Fischerspooner) του οποίου μια live version από το 1979 βλέπετε στο Video που ακολουθεί, μαζί με το φοβερό 'practice makes perfect":.
